I used to have an office job, it's not so bad, probably less cool stories but a longer life span. It can get tiresome breathing in chemicals and narrowly avoiding disasters, not to mention the whole why is this thing I'm repeating in the exact same way now giving me different results?

I'm particularly fond of HYPERSPACE because it gets all self aware, I believe you meet Edward Packard in there and you become aware that you are in a Choose your own adventure book. It blew my mind.

There are so many good titles. I really like NINJA CYBORG.

I think that might happen in a couple of them. There are some quite unsettling endings. You think you're choosing the safe path but instead you get torn apart by animals or buried alive. No wonder I have so many anxiety problems.

There's an option where you tell them to take you home and instead they take you to the Slave Planet Hom (or some such nonsense, I don't fully remember). Anyway it's bullshit! I also need to complain about that part in Daredevil Park where you stay at the hotel (like a wimp) and you end up dying because you play video

    PRISONER OF THE ANT PEOPLE

I have never had the desire to make a bomb. I could probably make some nitroglycerin right now if I wanted, it's simple enough and we've got the ingredients, but you know I'd kind of rather be alive than exploded all over the place.

Word of advice - you probably don't want to pick on people who have access to so many incapacitating chemicals and flesh stripping acids.

Yay chemical engineering! The BEST engineering, right? It's nice to know the show is somewhat realistic and not just Chemistry Is Magic.

I haven't seen it, but everybody asks me about it because I studied chemistry and chemical engineering. Hey you know chemistry, have you seen Breaking Bad? No I haven't seen it. Oh. *uncomfortable silence*

if you edit too much it will automatically get flagged.

Good luck! I'm thinking of going back to school since I'm not thrilled by any of my potential career paths. At least we have jobs while we are figuring it out :)

I kinda manage a lab, though my title isn't lab manager (because then they'd have to pay me more). I'm slumming it right now, this is a mid (actually more like entry) level job with no direction and I am overqualified. I didn't have a lot of options. I didn't even go to school for this stuff. I should be doing better.

Thanks Al. It's been a tough morning so far but at least it's already Thursday. It looks like a lot of people here at work are still on vacation so maybe it will be a slow day. Hoping there will be some good newswires today to distract me from how much I don't want to be here. Now I just need to sort through a ton of

Wow alright. I'll let you know how it turns out!

I'm sorry to hear of your situation and I sincerely send my best wishes your way. I hope the little guy gets better soon.

I love Trader Joe's because I'm a snack whore and they've got every kind of snack you could ever want. They have chocolate covered everything. It's a dangerous place for me.

We have a lot in common. I really need to cut back on the junk food too (no more telling myself that dark chocolate is healthy, no more buying the organic chips at whole foods and telling myself that it's okay). Starting new threads is intimidating for me so I never do it unless I really have something I feel strongly

Thanks, that's pretty cool! I took it to Best Buy because that's where I bought it and there was an insert in the box saying that BB would honor the Dell warranty so I took it there, figured it would be less trouble. The issue is that wired internet doesn't work anymore, it doesn't recognize when I plug in the
