Bill Bailey's tribute to Kraftwerk. Fucking brilliant.

@Kjb1: You're right about the Jaws essays; they are an excellent read.

I don't think I've read the Zabriski Point review. The one I remember is a movie set on board a submarine that's been hijacked by terrorists - right-wing ultranationalists, I think. Anyway, the review comes to a screeching halt while he goes off on one about how of *course* the terrorists are right wing because that's

It's worth slogging through a Jabootu review for the gems of right-wing stupidity that pepper them like turds in a litterbox.

Wait…
Piers Morgan?

Fuck you, O'Neal
"if you're going to get busted for drunk driving, hell yeah, that's the way to do it"

And the fact that Tom Cruise CAN'T FUCKING ACT.

I'm currently reading "Columbine" by Dave Cullen, so here's to hoping I don't get abducted soon.

Yeah, I'm interested in why China is "bad, but not that bad". As far as I can tell they're basically North Korea only with consumer goods.

Or, for that matter, Orange County, CA. It's just Florida with more gated communities.

Does anything actually happen?
'Cos I'm a minute into this and so far, fuck all.

"Hef's girlfriends didn't think they were funny" - is that a nice way of saying they're too stupid to get the jokes?

Not only
The Cure's best, but easily one of the best albums ever produced. "Plain Song" is just effing beautiful.

A welcome return
It's great to see the X-Files reviews back. I used to love, love, LOVE the show when the BBC aired them in the 90s. A friend and I were talking about this the other week - how much we were into the X-Files, buying books, magazines, T-shirts and toys, clipping newspaper articles, and lining up in HMV

I found this online:

I refuse to believe Ozzy said that
But I will believe that he incoherently mumbled it.

OK, I admit it…
I laughed when the snake shat all over him.

The terrorists didn't get lucky in London "once" - they got lucky in England and Ireland several times and killed about 1500 people. But that's when they were white, Catholic and called the IRA, so I guess that's OK with Americans.

The Day After??
Threads is by far the most terrifying, depressing and ultimately suicide-inducing movie about nuclear war. In comparison The Day After is like watching an episode of Friends.
