Besides, the idea of Bruce Wayne listening to metal goes against Batman's hatred of rock music.

A note to Bruno Heller: you have read Batman: Fortunate Son, right? If you did, then you would have never included a scene where a young Bruce Wayne listens to emo rock as the real Batman HATES rock and roll.

To me, this episode was a mixed bag, with the review hitting the my opinions of it.

That's where a good part of my issues with South Park lie.

Missed the first half due to wrestling, but I do need to ask one thing: did the pilot make sure that the young Bruce Wayne touched his mother's breast when she died?

That's because the real Batman hates rock and roll.

Eegah, Eegah, bonk bonk on head!!!

"Oh my god, I was wrong. It was Earth all along."

That what happens when your film is produced by the hack that is Michael Bay (whose trilogy of this sequel, Age of Extinction, and the TMNT reboot is what I refer to as his "Summer of Suck") and the film is helmed by one of the co-writers of the Robin Williams film, Jack (a film in which he couldn't decide whether to

More likely because when it comes to cable television, save for Game of Thrones, Trey and Matt would rather spoof reality/informative programs that your typical South Park fans doesn't give a rat's ass about.

It also helps that Friendship is Magic itself filled with puns, be it episode titles (horse and non-horse related) or locations (i.e. Cloudsdale, Canterlot).

For those interested, I made a list comparing some elements referenced in this episode and what happens in real life in terms of Bronies (and fan conventions in particular).

Not to mention the end result would probably reach "Michael Morones" levels in terms of unfunny My Little Pony bashing (for those unaware, Michael Morones is a 11-year old boy who attempted suicide as a result of being bullied over his MLP fandom).

Add another who felt that The Case of the Libertine Belle should have been on the list, with Rose having a number of choice moments as well.

Good to see that I'm not alone here, as THOH VII was the first real "clunker" in terms of the Halloween episodes. Not sure if it's due to all three segments having downer endings or the fact that part of the "spark" going into Citizen Kang is lost due to one of the regular season 8 episodes actually being about Homer

In terms of the omnibus film, I think it will only be nominated for the individual shorts. Luckily, one of them (Possessions) did get nominated this year.

Am I one of the only people who DOESN'T want to see Frozen win Best Animated Film. Sorry, but the film is overrated IMO (of course, I only saw the film in 2D, and my beef is more focused on the problems involving the plot).

If anything is missing, it would be Nausicaa of the of Valley of Wind, Castle in the Sky, and Castle of Cagliostro (not counting The Wind Rises here, as I don't think the Simpsons animators would have enough time to insert a reference to it a la Gravity a few weeks back).

Because I'm sure people will be looking for it afterwards, here's the music video for the song that was played during the montage of the CBG and Kumiko dating (warning: it's REALLY bizarre):

Anyone else felt that the last three episodes of Family Guy was basically the writers trying to rehash the story structure of Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story? After all, when Stewie goes back in time to save Brian, I can't help but think of how this is similar to how Stewie went back in time to prevent himself from
