Eager to know why an ax was the decided upon method rather than something like a hack saw.  I think that the ax would make quite the mess down there, The saw may however be quite slow.

I think trying to hack off the infected area would have the same effect as hacking off the leg of a snakebite victim, if it's already in the blood, they're in trouble.

Wouldn't it have to be that the other bite wounds are fatal? Everyone's already infected correct? Does a bite speed up the infection or something.

Same with the hammer on Lori's revolver.

Lori knowing how to use a gun involves using a revolver with no visible hammer movement, I don't think we can confirm that she was really shooting. Muzzle flash was clearly just the sun hitting it weird.

It also makes me wonder why they need to amputate the leg as well. If they're already infected, is there really a danger to getting bitten or scratched?  And unless the danger is the infected flesh spreading i.e. a rash, amputating won't serve a purpose since there was sufficient time for it to spread from the bite if

Oh I agree, this episode was terrible.  All of the unfunny cameos just ground this episode to a halt everytime one of them showed up.  This episode was unable to gain any momentum and suffered for it.

And if I recall, Apple was using the "bump" transfer feature a few years ago, at least in their ipod touches.
