Anyone has their couple cents on all the black metal shit-talking going around lately? If you're not aware, it starts with Sasha Frere-Jones's NYer column and several butthurt BM purists. The NYer article has some USA Today-grade lulz, but anything that gets this lot angry can't be all bad.

It's all about classics lately: Cathedral - Ethereal Mirror, Isis - Oceanic.
And a very classic-sounding Hammers of Misfortune. The new Skeletonwitch is not yet settling in the brain yet, sounds nice and crisp though.

I hear he's prolife, so I'm, ahem, praying this lady wins.

It gets more interesting. The maker of Martyrs hates Funny Games. What I'm saying is, I want people to use these overlapping facts to yell at each other simultaneously, Zaireeka-stylee.

I have so far chickened out at the idea of watching Irreversible. I suspect it would be more disturbing than these meat-chopping assembly lines.

As a defender of *some* extreme films, he's the perfect choice for this. His last sentence is the best line on the subject: It’s the film equivalent of 13-year-olds working through a copy of The Anarchist’s Cookbook.

Juan_Carlo,
It isn't shittily put together. People behind it are competent craftsmen so you get a giant steaming pile in a Tiffany box.

Watch the movie then, no please don't. What I mean is reading the synopses involves your imagination, which takes you to scarier places than the film, which is just cheap cynical exploitation trash.

This is less gore, more sleaze. Of course the less gore part is relative.

This should have been a video interview. There's something old-fashioned and charming about these two hawking their new movie with practiced banter.

I find your attraction to B Gibs adorable, different strokes I guess.

I really wanted to like it, but its better parts made me hate it more. I kept thinking, if he can be this good, why does he fall off so bad? I still look forward to watching his and Angela Bettis's other films.

Wait till you see the drama-class symbolism of The Woman.

Heller, you best bring your A game on Wednesday. You've already covered three big ones in the reglar review section.

I did not care for this film much. Great acting, interesting premise, but McKee's fist of ham kept fucking things up. Oh and the music. The film would improve significantly if the "Get it? Get it?" soundtrack is taken out completely.

Always Wiki before you write Noel. The Ramsay bro's father's name? F U Ramsay, for reals.

37th chamber pot.
EDIT: Shitting on the shitworthy, not my homie 37th up in there.

Because it's my life's ambition to ensure that no Metallica thread is missing this beaut.
