I finally saw Scott Pilgrim recently and have to side with Tobias. The comic was more layered and interesting. It's a pity really. The DVD extras show the love everyone had for the book and how hard they worked to get the tone right.

Oh yeah, Eyes Wide Shut. The film opens with a caption, "Kubrick is like genius and shit y'all, and he's taken great pains for the awesomest color transfer evar." And then you are treated to the fakest set of NY that makes the NY of Friends look realistic.

That Preacher issue is the bomb. They take great pleasure in trashing the extravagantly emo subspecies.

I dislike pointless remakes as much as the next guy, but this film could definitely use another go, that is make it more fun than it already is. If Farrell from In Bruges shows up, the remake can't not be awesome.

Having seen them live in the company of rich old men and their quite lovely and quite young women, I assure you, wine sounds right.
