I was trying to think of a nicer way to say this, but I am low in Vitamin Tact, so I'll just blurt - it's not your family's marriage or decision. It's not their life, so they don't get to decide what's a "failure".    @avclub-6a2ec3076bb494e5c64eb1a422d9fe3d:disqus is totally right in that your happiness is the point

Heh, I try to remember people, especially if I've had longish comment exchanges with them!

I asked a co-worker for a postcard when she went to the Bahamas, and she brought it back. omg. Half the point is the foreign postmark; how could she not know that?!

Seconding; there are all sorts of places that will help you put the car seat in properly. You do not live in OKC or I would tell you to come by the place I volunteer; we're actually having a car seat event on Saturday. But you can probably Google and find a local spot that does it.

Pics of the chicken buses, plz.

I like to cruise the MfM and FfF ads, and notice the VAST difference. The gay chicks are full of "I have a great sense of humour and love puppies and kitties and organic frittatas and old movies let's get to know each other" and the gay dudes are all, "Looking for thick 12" dick for nastytimes 20-35 year old redheads

How did I miss this whole forearm porn thread? Rawr.

You're not wrong.  I've admitted it before, and there's no need to change my tune now - marathoning keeps you from making the same kind of investment in the characters, universe, and storyline that you do when you commit however many years to watching a show real-time.  I had a much more intense reaction to watching

I definitely agree, but it's why I burned out on ~epic~ fantasies - SO many of them tended to follow the same arcs.  Urban fantasy used to have new ideas, and now it's starting to fall into the same ruts, especially this particular series, the problems of which have already been discussed elsewhere in this thread.

I've never used flour at all; only cornmeal.  And I've only made my own hush puppies once; they were so dang messy that I probably won't do that very often in the future! Good, though.

Wait what  Flour for fried green tomatoes? HOW DARE YOU, SIR OR MADAM!

*makes note to call @avclub-e57f718840a576abbb40a7d046c4e3b0:disqus "y'all" in the near future*

Ahahahaha I had forgotten how that bad_penny entry on her just goes on and on and on - such a terrible little special snowflake

I would say this problem isn't limited to YA fantasy/supernatural; it's the problem with the fantasy/supernatural/sci-fi genre in general, and always has been.

Naw, sometimes I like stuff without logging in, and that's all "Guest" is, anonymous likes.

What happened with the swimming? Or did the ballet just end up being easier to fit in your schedule?

Hope everything works out more agreeably this time

Burn them. Burn them with all the fire at Pele's command.

Maybe when you stepped inside that teleportation machine there was a fly in there with you.

They're dead easy. I tend to use breadcrumbs or milled flax rather than oats (but I should try oats); I'll throw in a poblano, a roma tomato, and some olive oil as well the egg, and sometimes cheese.  I oven-bake them, too, because I am lazy. But black beans are the best thing EVER and I am happy to use them for
