I would have enjoyed that a lot, they played some of my favorite songs.
I would have enjoyed that a lot, they played some of my favorite songs.
1. I always get those bands messed up.
2. The strings and the guys voice just grate on me.
3. Do you hear the irony in "I thought it was objectively good"?
One of the deleted scenes shows Wahlberg playing Dirk as a terrible actor, doing endless takes, unable to hit any of his cues and constantly fumbling his lines. There's no way a bad actor could be that believable as a bad actor.
I would definitely hold that against it.
There was a song called "Bittersweet Symphony" by Verve Pipe that made me want to pierce my eardrums.
"Honestly, I don't think it's whitewashing so much as just not fitting in with the overall narrative."
"Hey Commander, we haven't had any planetary adventures lately. Let's land somewhere!"
"Good idea. Are there any hills-east-of-Los-Angeles-class planets nearby?"
"No, but there's a hills-east-of-Vancouver-class planet not far from here."

Fuck yeah, Outland. Every movie and TV show should be more like Outland.
I was listening earlier this week to the new episode of WTF podcast, featuring Vice President Al Gore. He's a lovely, intelligent man, who cites sources, refuses to talk shit, and believes that people ultimately want to help each other and do the right thing. I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation. Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication
Man or Astro-man? - Experiment Zero
The Ropers - All the Time
Material Issue - International Pop Overthrow

Getting out of my comfort zones by eliminating comfort entertainment. I knew I was in a rut when I binged all 8 Harry Potter movies last week, and started rereading a David…
Haha, "teens". And that person you've been chatting with is a "woman".
Same old fake internet money: page views and clicks are evaluated in terms of potential ad revenue, even if no ads are on the site. Plus selling your data.
Now I'm confused.
There probably would have been Hispanic slaves in the Republic of Texas.
A symbolic gesture toward a symbol? Sounds good.
More like 8 hour drive along I-5 from exit 131 to exit 135, right.
The sad thing is that programming moisture vaporators is probably about as difficult as setting the timer on your automatic lawn sprinklers. Owen's just not keen on technology.
Counterpoint: we're definitely not. Are you one of those people who reads an article about how we'll be able to watch movies on our contact lenses within 5 years and actually marks your calendar? That kind of hysterical science/tech reporting is hardly better than fake news.
