Here's an obscure one that's terrifying. The normally nonsensical and goofy sci-fi series Space:1999 had an episode called Dragon's Domain that scared the living shit out of me as a kid.

Portland had a Tao Jones during the grunge rage. I remember they had a 'dancer' that ran around naked on stage. They coulda been another Pond.
