I don't for a minute think we're going to end cancer in my lifetime, but it seems silly to continue engaging in activities that unduly increase your risk of getting it, when the evidence points in that direction.

I seriously doubt that these people were chosen for their greatness.  I think it more likely that they were chosen for their insanity.

I think you underestimate the power that Paula Deen has in some people's lives.  She validates their worst tendencies when it comes to food.  If she said, like Zimmern here states, that these foods are "sometimes foods," that could make all the difference.

I enjoy watching good people be nice.  It's not ALL I want to watch, but it adds a nice contrast to all the yelling.

I thought that was one of the points that Choke made best - that he started collecting rocks in a (probably too obvious) attempt to create something real and tangible in a world where we rarely feel like we've left an impression or made an impact.
