The only major omissions from my standpoint were Twelve Monkeys and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, simply because I'd like to hear him talk about what it was like to work with Terry Gilliam.
As I walked out of Gravity, my first thought was, "It's a real shame Sandra Bullock won Best Actress for The Blind Side, because she totally should win it for this instead."
They're actually screening that on campus next month. I can't wait.
This past week I read Hollywood Said No! by Bob and David, with an assist from Brian Posehn; "They're Here…": Invasion of the Body Snatchers: A Tribute, edited by Kevin McCarthy and Ed Gorman; and I got started on James Whale: A New World of Gods and Monsters by James Curtis.
I've never seen the Renoir version of The Lower Depths. Probably should at some point. (I have seen the Kurosawa.)
I'm glad I'm not the only one who was underwhelmed by this episode. It just didn't hang together for me, and Millie's character was a real drag on, well, everything.
