Was he the blood of your blood?
Was he the blood of your blood?
No, but if the scenes are going to be in a brothel then they should be creepy which is what the show did.
If anything, seeing just glimpses of them makes them more frightening.
I agree. I've found some of the sex scenes in the brothel to be over the top but this was a surreal and disturbing one. If D and D want to show how horrible being in that brothel is then this is the way to do it. The peephole thing was a perfect touch of creepiness.
I think it's important to have them in the show again or it'd get ridiculous with them being mentioned again and again without ever being seen as TV is a visual medium; you can get away with only mentions in the book.
It looked more like he was about to finger her but didn't actually end up doing it.
I thought Stannis was much better this episode and I totally bought him. He held off Melisandre much longer than I would've been able to.
What made that work is that she immediately started making out with the guy who was complaining.
Montages are often lame, and way overused now, but the montage at the end of this episode brought tears to my eyes because it was so damn tragic. Perfectly done by Moore and Garcia.
I'm wondering how they're going to cover that, too. Should be fun.
Yeah, Stannis seemed a lot calmer than my interpretation of him.
Melisandre is going to be fucking awesome. She stole the episode for me. She's as sexy and terrifying as I imagined her in the book.
I agree about Barney Martin. He loved every bit of it and that made the character even better than he already was (and he was already excellent).
The middle of this episode, with the Day of the Dead stuff, should've been great considering how creepy this show is, but instead I thought it was a bit of a letdown. I do agree that the kid with the tattoo was definitely freaky.
The caption picture is creepy as hell. There's something about the design of that tattoo that gives me the shivers. Whoever designed it as such did a great job.
Is the pitch document available online? I'd love to see that.
I liked that monologue and I liked the implications of crazy Rick.
Boy, this show has sure improved since Mazzara took over, hasn't it? It's still dumb sometimes (Lori's reaction) but it's gotten a lot better and has more hits than misses which is reassuring after a first half that had a lot more misses than hits.
I agree. I really like the show but it's not nearly as perfect as some try to make it out to be. It's a good comedy, which is rare, but it's not a GREAT one.
I'll be honest: I did not figure out who the father was. That scene was freaky as hell, though.
