…that any Arrested Development lovers out there will skip this crap and watch the comedically like-minded Better Off Ted instead, it's hilarious and has only gotten better since the pilot, and I wish the TV club was covering it. It's also got Portia de Rossi on it if AD alumni are all it takes to convince

…that wasn't meant to be a first. Just saying, I'm usually sympathetic when you're accused of excessive fawning over the Wire (which I've never seen), but this was kind of annoying.

I think you need to risk being let down occasionally to really appreciate when things go right and your entertainment-related hopes are fulfilled. I mean (for example) even if Watchmen sucks, we've already gotten months of free entertainment out of the anticipation; if you're going to seal yourself off to avoid

well i still think the premise is cool and could go some interesting places. but if he's going to sell the concept of a super-secret high-tech elite service like the dollhouse, he needs a) more compelling stories than a lame kidnapping to convince us to suspend disbelief, and b) much slicker all-around presentation

because the pilot was practically unwatchably awful? i'm a HUGE whedon fan and i wanted more than anything to like this show, but man was it bad. still, i'm willing to blame the network for the painfully awkward dialogue and leaden acting since they made him redo his original
