Actually in the movie Richard Parker does not die at the end. The same exact thing happens.

Honestly I'm most surprised that there is no "Breaking the Waves" on the list. And also at the very low number of foreign titles. I'm looking forward to the individual lists.

No one has mentioned The Color of Money, which has been the only Scorsese movie that I thought was pretty average (though it has some pretty cool shots of Tom Cruise playing pool).

I just realized when reading the Meek's Cutoff blurb, that The Walking Dead would be amazing if it was written and directed by Kelly Reichardt.

Is anyone thinking about the people on the show and the fact that they need only one more year of school to graduate?

Though most reality shows, especially on TLC, like to focus on the people as characters and use the connection you gain with the lives of the people on screen to make the show essential weekly viewing. Starting over with a whole new group of

I'm a Muslim and I sort of wish this show wasn't set in Dearborn, Michigan. That town is not really representative of the Muslim experience in America. For me, I go through life balancing American culture and my Muslim religion. I've personally found that balance without much difficulty, but there are many people I

As a Muslim I am now very interested to see what sort of commentary this show is making on Islam in America. I do hope the show is playing around with mainstream Islamic stereotypes and that he doesn't end up being a terrorist and ends up being just a normal Muslim convert. But at the same time, if he did convert to

But I will never forget the moment in the 2nd season (I think?) scored by "DLZ" by TV on the Radio.

The final song choice really cements that spaghetti western influence. It was "Black" by Danger Mouse & Danielle Luppi off their ROME album which they made as a soundtrack to a non-existent spaghetti western movie.
