and reading the comments it has brought forward, I was thinking of how to me(As a Briton), how Pat Tillman was one of those uniquely American things, especially as I had no context for him or the events surrounding him, but now I find myself remembering "Boxer" the horse from "Animal Farm". …
So true! Even though I remember enjoying the other Christmas themed eps more, I still remember the one where the eldest Bartlett sister(I want to say…."Lizzie"?) tries to get her dad on board with her idiot son's campaign. I think it's because the awkwardness and everyone not enjoying company at that time, has kind…
GAH, I meant DAVID Simon. There is in fact a paucity of Paul Simon in TV.
I miss this show.
"Noel" is a perfect example of a story that makes me so fond of The West Wing(Not just because I have undergone treatment for PTSD), and makes me wish for it to return. I don't care if they have to cast Danny Glover as POTUS in a new set and hire everybody else from scratch, I would watch that in a…
@Warren Perso
I'll admit…
…after the pilot, I was hooked. After the second and third episode, I walked away. At the eighth, I came back. And boy am I glad I did. It's not Deadwood, but in the absence of such, I'll take Justified over pretty much any other show that isn't Fringe.
Ahhh, then I guess VanDerWerff did have a clue. Ta, scotteb
Weakest of the Moffat/Smith era so far
..but because of it's own generic nature. I'd have rather watched an old-school episode where The Doctor and Amy were in WWII with Churchill, but then again, that had been done not too long ago(The one with the haunted gas mask people and Capt. Jack). I still liked it, but not…
So….
….it's a whopper, a sandwich full of pork, cheese and sauce, and a soft drink. At what point is this not simply lunch?
Actually I had to switch schools, so I guess my other would be Tunstall Coffee, which seems better.
Ridgeway Dr Pepper.
So I'm confused:
Is this a direct sequel to Sam Neill's appearance in "In The Mouth Of Madness"? Because if that's the case, then I am SO on board. Other than that, liked the cast, everything else just seemed waaaaay too blatant to be interesting, but I'll give it time. For the "Mouth Of Madness" connection to be…
Whoa that's weird. My comment went pink - I'm new here guys, what did I do?
Y'know what, Noel?
I really hope they DON'T go straight back to a "Scary monster and/or invention of the week" episode. The over-arching story and mythos is why I came back after the impressive pilot, and why the jaw-drop of the season one finale was so impressive. I want the next episode to be another breadcrumb…
I've not watched CSI in years - probably back when Rory Cochrane was still in Miami - but something you guys were saying made me think of something, something that I now must have: Everybody seems to love a procedural drama, except when they outstay their welcome => Fringe is a procedural that doesn't do the same…
