He's not an asshole, he's a horribly written character. Seriously, I docked this episode an entire grade because of him. There's simply no reason to have a character who exists only to always be totally stupid and ridiculously wrong when there's so many other more interesting ways to write a roadblock in a police

I just generally don't like Gina and I think it's weird the reviewer — who seems to cherish some semblance of reality — likes her.
She's a ridiculous cartoon character. (Gina, that is, not LaToya.)

Now there's a distinction that's not cost-effective.

I am a fan — a really big fan, in fact, and a man, to boot — of her sketch work.
Her standup doesn't do a whole lot for me and I thought Trainwreck was not particularly good (and therefore ridiculously overrated.)
But some of those Inside Amy Schumer sketches rank right up there with the best I've ever seen and this

It really was terrible. And after all the pre-release backlash, I went in prepared to really like it, if only in protest against those who judged it for idiotic reasons before seeing it. That turned out to be an impossible task. Note to future screenwriters: comedies should have jokes, and jokes should be funny.

I like some Metallica just fine, but come on. . . they aren't the greatest anything. (I can even think of bigger douches than Lars.)

Wait, wait, back up . . .
When was Wag The Dog ever funny?

Oh geez, I just commented about this upthread.
I had no idea anybody liked the 2nd album. I've never actually met anyone in the flesh who does, and I know a lot of fans of the 1st record. That Magnets has actual fans is more surprising to me than that it was recorded by the same band that made New Clear Days

Ooof, gotta disagree.
New Clear Days is a five-star record. Magnets is barely listenable, imho.
I have a CD with both records and the drop in quality after "Jimmie Jones" — the first and only good track on the 2nd LP — is incredibly harsh.

You'll have to wait for the autopsy like everyone else.

Yep. I live with a dude who vapes pretty constantly when he's at home. He was shocked to learn I thought it was an unpleasant smell because like most vapers, he has convinced himself that there is no by-product of his habit and it couldn't possibly bother anyone because after all, it's not a cigarette, right?

Here's a general rule I'll bet your ACS friend would agree with:
Your lungs evolved to deal with air, so if it ain't air, you probably shouldn't be inhaling it.

Eh. It's overrated and pretty far down the list of my favorite Beefheart albums. Innovative or not, it's an unpleasant listen, so I don't consider it much of a success, frankly.

10 minutes at 350 degrees, last two minutes with the convection setting on.
Works perfect for me every time. (Oven temps and times may vary, natch.)

I like Pizza Hut but don't really consider it pizza — it's Pizza Hut. That might sound weird, but I feel the same way about McDonald's. I like it, but it's not really a burger. It's just McDonald's. In other words, they are both very specific things which have only a passing resemblance to what I would normally call

"You can point to anything in the Sears catalog and somebody wants to sleep with it." —Det. Stan Wojciehowicz
(quoted from memory, so please forgive me if it's a little off.)

I thought of Mr. Show too, but of the Hate Group sketch, which is my polite way of noting that you're mistaken about what scene that line is from.

I don't know what Jews you've been hanging around with but "small portions" isn't usually something I associate with them.

Well, they weren't old, but the gender switch in a regular-people-decide-to-commit-a-daring-heist was already tackled in 1980's How To Beat The High Cost Of Living with Jane Curtain, Susan St. James, and Jessica Lange.
Whaddya mean you don't remember it?!
Also starring Fred Willard, Dabney Coleman, Richard Benjamin

Two things can be different without either necessarily being better.
