In her defence, she's kept up a full scale charade of perfect ice cold blandness for a good half a century. Her husband, kids, and grandkids might stray from the party line from time to time, occasionally trying to have their own lives and idiosyncrasies, but the Queen is untouchable. Nothing but duty, all the way

We have the autumn unidentifiable-awful over here at Chez Plain, so I put this on for my mom and I. (She's weirdly fond of Matt Smith) She was too tired to process most of it, other than asking repeatedly who actors were and crying, but she sat bolt up right at one point and said, "Why is he naked?" a question we can

He definitely rebelled, but without Azrael's blade it's questionable how permanently anyone would have died in that original conflict- at the very least he never killed any one to the extent that he killed Uriel.

He honestly looks like Ramsey Bolton got to him, which is concerning. We keep getting fewer and fewer reasons to root for god. It's one thing to be a bit of a dick with puny humans, but come on man, cut your kids a break.

AND he can sing. He's basically begging for a major role in some suitably fangirl filled media environment. He'd do well in Marvel or something broody on BBC.

This show just keeps getting better and better. I really admire what they're doing with this season, in between the increasingly daring writing and some splendid performances Lucifer has a chance to really make it big. Plus, I love the mythology of the show and how it breaks new ground in the whole biblical drama

I know a big part of the Standing Rock protest is the possibility of leaks. Big oil pipelines leak all the time, and do devastating environmental damage. This one could contaminate the tribe's main water source, but for farmers the threat of oil laced water and soil is just as devastating.

Well, the Republic 'won'. Count Dooku was the focal point of the separatists, once he died and the Trading/Banking backers got Anakined up ("died in a mysterious industrial accident") it makes sense that the Separatists would have just kind of fallen apart.

I was thinking more along the lines of Sabine messing with some priceless "real-art" watercolour (or more likely least a cleverly switched in forgery of it, just good enough for Thrawn to have an aneurysm before he figures out), She strikes me as the sort who wouldn't hesitate to pull a full Duchamp- parodying a

The more stuff they can smash into a smaller amount of episodes, the less money they need to tell the stories they want. The problem with animation is that even blank space is expensive. Every time someone moves you're dropping cash and huge amounts of animation time. A single episode is a a big investment. Three

The throwback effects were adorable. Rebels sometimes seems to overplay its hand, but it knows how to aim for the tear ducts when it comes to nostalgia buttons.

Late to the party, but I really did love this episode. Thrawn and Hera play off of each other beautifully, and I love how Thrawn's love of art and perfectionism are shown as both formidable, and ultimately flawed.

The empire and the rebels are all fighting a war on multiple fronts. The battles we see are mostly ambushes and secret actions, the focus is more on quick hits, escapes, and intelligence than anything. You have to remember, the Rebellion is still growing, and until the Death Star they had no reason to concentrate all

They're definitely war crimes by Republic standards- a lot of the Clone Wars was focused on the limits of morality and the law, even if it did end up compromised more than not. If your shtick is that Palpatine and his government are illegitimate because he seized power through subterfuge and illegal actions, you'd be

Reviews are back! I do love Star Wars Rebels. The characters have really grown into themselves. Especially when you take into account that canonically it's been a few years for them, it makes a lot of sense that they've matured so much and kind of settled into the rebellion- which is growing fast!

That was one half Children of the Corn, one wholesome fifties children story, and it was rad.

Native Americans didn't get guaranteed citizenship RL until the 1920s, and even that that was only for Native Americans born in the US. So, Amethyst is in, Pearl is out, Garnet is ????

And running red lights.

No, because that's not the story the show is telling. (As we've been telling you.)

Steven just lives a really punk rock life.
