Wes and Laurel being friendly and supportive with one another is one of the few highlights in all these students interacting with one another scenes. I wish we had more.

I kind of like Asher. I don't know why. I think it's because he provides some douchey levity. And I think he genuinely likes most of his classmates. Why else would he invite them to his little party? (Well, he might also be lonely, which has been hinted at.)

She's basically one of the main cast members at this point.

Yes! I had the exact same thought. "You've always had my back" implies a past relationship of some sort, either friendship or (ever more likely) an ex-wife.

I'm struggling to find one moment in this entire episode that didn't ring hollow. Michaela's fiance's Mom was the realest character in the entire episode. I actually believed that she had bitter disdain for her future daughter-in-law.
