The first time I heard Paralytic Stalks (just after it leaked) it hit me really hard, and I thought it was probably the first truly great album of the year. Having given it time to sink in though, I think it's actually pretty uneven. But listening to "Spiteful Intervention", "Dour Percentage", and "We Will Commit Wolf

Every time I see people talking about what they like about Portlandia, it makes me want to watch it less.

I've gotten way too many unplayable DVDs from Netflix, but I'd still pick it over streaming… There's barely any content on streaming, and there's also never a guarantee that something you would have been able to stream a couple months ago will be on streaming when you want to watch it later.

I'm seeing them with the Arctic Monkeys in March, and I'm excited for that, but I think presenting them as a "third option" is bullshit, because people don't necessarily have to choose one sort of music to listen to, and stick to that. I like the Black Keys. I also like pretentious-ass indie rock. I'm not the only

I was about to post that too… come on AV.

It was obviously a suicide, locking yourself in the trunk of a sinking car is the preferred method among the kids these days.

The Horrors album is great, and probably the most important album of 1986 to be released this year.

Shockingly, if we narrow the definition of "Important" to something incredibly small and specific, then we can create a year with no "Important" albums, and thus write our column before the deadline, even though we couldn't think of anything interesting to say.

Exactly. And they don't mention many of them on here, but plenty of his policies are totally batshit crazy and shallow-minded. Like endorsing racial profiling at airports. He's also stuck in about 8th grade, emotionally speaking, if his interviews are anything to go by. He's just really unpleasant in general, I can't

I'm gonna rephrase: it's my favorite album of theirs since Kid A. Maybe it sucks, objectively, and I was just in the right frame of mind for it when I was getting into it.

I love King of Limbs, I think it's honestly their best album overall since Kid A. I didn't think it was worthy of more than a B- at first listen, but it's grown on me.
But they're acting like they're not confident at all, with all this "OH WAIT NO GUYS WE'RE NOT DONE DON'T FORGET WE HAVE THESE SONGS TOO WE SWEAR YOU'LL

Every time I listen to this album I like it even more. So much so that I felt compelled to post about it a year after it came out.
