The Dick Whitman stuff was interesting when it informed the character's drive, and resonated with the theme of fictionalizing the American experience. When it was the Sword of Damocles, threatening to tear Don's life apart, it was boring as hell. I was so glad when they burned it off.

I posted this back on The Seer's review, but once again: I did not know this band at all, and I am forever indebted to Heller and all the commenters gushing over this album. I grabbed it up thanks to you guys and I am so much better off for it.
