Yeah. What about "Night Gallery?" The AVC needs to create a feature dedicated to reviewing classic cult TV shows. There have been reviews of the "Star Trek" series, "Doctor Who," "Futurama," etc. What about "Night Gallery," "The Prisoner," "Twin Peaks," "Monty Python's Flying Circus," "Batman," "DangerMouse," "Quantum

I'm talking about the 1960's "Outer Limits." Tom Arnold can't act, and he agrees.

A dog.

I'm really enjoying these critiques of the classic TZ episodes, even when I don't necessarily agree with them (the reviews, not the shows). I can only hope that in the future the folks at the AVC will put the original eps of "The Outer Limits" under scrutiny. Y'know, to compare and contrast.

I've always enjoyed King's stories; he was the first author that I truly paid attention to when I was a kid. Even when I "graduated" to more "serious" authors, I could always rely on good ol' Steve to entertain me. Despite his often lurid or comic (sometimes both) subject matter, he does know how to spin a satisfying

This is an addendum to a previous post:

Umm…
How about Nirvana?

Hmm…

About the need for the telepathic Cairn to have mouths…
They gotta fuckin' EAT, right?

Forget that Herzog is directing this project, the idea of killing off Cruise is a darn fine idea…as in the Cruise roles of the past 10 years that is (barring that schtick in "Tropic Thunder").

They're probably gonna get to the TZ movie after all the TV seasons are done.

Just saw the film and gave it a B+. Would've rated it higher if not for Anna Kendrick's character being shoehorned into what I felt was a Hollywood contrivance.

I agree. The timeless combination of creepy and funny was well played in this ep. The premise is ever so slight goofy; kinda like "Data's Day" through a glass, darkly.

'Dreams' is worth watching. But you're not gonna get your Mifune fix there; he died one year before this release.

Question: what's the difference between "ripping off" or "paying homage to?" The context?

Damn skippy.

I agree. B+ is reasonable. This film is the most personal of Kurosawa's works (perhaps 'Madadayo' comes closer), so I'm certain the quirkiness of the later chapters is going to seem off-kilter and not immediately accessible. Hell, the title says it right there. It's Kurosawa's "dreams", deliberate or no. You get what

Ebert has a point, but no way to voice it (burn!). That's a rather crotchety way of looking at 3D, figuratively. I'm willing to wager it could be rather difficult for an audience to pretend they're watching a cartoon, CGI or stop-motion animation film as they might observe them in the REAL WORLD. Again, another

*Yes, I KNOW Neil Gaiman wrote it. I was being cute, okay?

Pretty good and rather eclectic choices on this list here.
