I loved Doctor Who as a kid, watching Tom Baker and Peter Davison on PBS, and I sort of fell out of it as I got older (I couldn't get through Colin Baker or Sylvester McCoy episodes many years ago when I saw them). I watched the TV movie when it aired (I must've been 12 or 13) and was disappointed. Found it

Well, they also brought Michael out at ComicCon in front of hundreds of fucking people for an event covered by media and read about by millions of fucking people etc. etc. Same for bringing Charlie out this year which revealed he was coming back, which stands to reason that other dead characters were coming back.

I think we'll still be getting answers to things like the whispers, who built the statue, who built the donkey wheel, Adam & Eve, etc. Being frustrated about not getting enough answers six episodes out strikes me as silly. I know from hints of spoilers and just from having watched this show for five years that the

Desmond was staring at his reflection in glass at the airport, RIGHT when his consciousness seemingly "jumped" from being zapped in the original timeline. I thought that might be a big clue right there to the whole mirror thing.

I was sort of dozing off when I was watching one episode, and it did somewhat occur to me that it'd have worked as a sort of audio-only thing, like a "audiobook" type deal. Of course, then we wouldn't get to see the strange aliens when they did them.

God dammit I LOVE the drunk outtakes. I quote from that shit all the time. "MUAHHHHH THE FRENCH!" And the follow up is awesome too (thanks YourName; I was going to post it myself but saw you did).

My earliest pop culture memories that I remember…The Challenger explosion; seeing Tom Baker turn into Peter Davison (probably a couple of years after it happened in the UK); being excited that Star Trek: The Next Generation was coming, watching the commercials for it, and (I was 6) finally seeing it premiere and

I pretty much agree with the criticisms here. Except I wouldn't give this a grade higher than a C or maybe C+ personally. The stories are imaginative and a few are pretty well done (and the Foster books are actually quite good reading, and often way better than the episodes themselves in my opinion). I

1980.

@Alexing, I think the character they were referring to is Mr. Eko.

Um…I like a mix of fast and slow.

This keeps getting posted; I've seen that poster put that link in more than one thread in the last day or so. And it has what to do with this review…?

Movies based on video games are rarely - if ever - good. (I can't think of a good one off the top of my head.) The one with Johnson directed by Woo sounded fun at least; we'll see. At this point, I agree with "meh".

Provolone, I don't think that's referring to Lost. I believe it is referring to a movie called The Others, in which that spoiler is accurate.

Also, Flaming Lips have some great ones: "The Spark that Bled," "One More Robot/Sympathy 3000-21", "Suddenly Everything Has Changed"…

"Heresy" was never released as a single.

"Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey" was a single from Ram, as was "Too Many People" if I'm not mistaken. That albums is so fantastic, probably my favorite Macca album (nostalgic reasons probably figure into that). I named "Dear Boy" and "Ram On" a few threads back myself.

"4th of July" was always my favorite Soundgarden track.

My picks
Off the top of my head:

Second The Royal Scam, especially the title cut. Countdown has some excellent ones as well ("Razor Boy," "The Boston Rag," "Your Gold Teeth"). "Daddy Don't Live in That New York City No More," "Everyone's Gone to the Movies." So many excellent songs by the Dan. Some good "deep cuts" from their newer albums too.
