Something else TCW does better: Anakin's character. He's so much better, more mature and sane on TCW. It's like during TCW he had a brief spell of good characterization inbetween AotC and RotS. Like you said, he's actually likable on TCW.

I'd say just watch it all. You'll hit a few weak episodes, but overall it's good and just gets better as the seasons go on. And my preferred early great episode is "Rookies" in season 1. The clone episodes of TCW are ALL great, and Rookies is the first of those. "Landing At Point Rain" is the start of the Second…
Like Shadao said, Barriss Offee would be an even better pick, as another TCW callback. She has that plot connection to Ahsoka too, for extra tension. It could end up being an original character entirely, but the possibility is there. The Inquisitors' ranks were composed of a few ex-Jedi, after all, at least in the EU.
I'm okay with the heroes. They're optional. I often turned down playing one in SWBF2 when I was on a particularly good streak as a basic trooper. That's what I love about SWBF, that you can kick ass as the regular troopers just as much as the heroes/villains. Playing a hero just interrupted my focus in a trooper…
I love EaW. It's a genuinely good SW RTS game(it only took them 4 tries to get it right). Why can't we get a sequel to that?
It beats using Mustafar again. That planet has been reused time and time again since RotS came out. Sullust shakes up the lava planet monotony. I'm actually a little excited about seeing Sullust in another game.
The Rebel fleet amassed near Sullust at the start of RotJ, just prior to the Battle of Endor. Sullust isn't entirely an EU construct. The namedrop in the films is most likely the reason for its inclusion. Who knows if it's even still canon as the homeworld of Nien Nunb's species?
Don't forget Hoth. Every Star Wars game has to have a Hoth level. No exceptions. Naturally Hoth's in this trailer too.
Well apparently this SWBF will have a free DLC after release to show how those crashed starships got on Not-Tatooine in The Force Awakens. Now unless some sort of ground battle will take a Star Destroyer out of orbit, I take it to mean there's going to be some sort of space battle component to this game. They've…
I think the problem is that while Carrie and Mark aged gracefully, Harrison didn't age at all until around the year 2000(seriously, in his 40s playing Indy?) then he aged all at once to make up for lost time, Dorian Gray style. He just looks haggard and old now. I didn't see Han Solo when I saw Harrison Ford at the…
Yep, the publisher that gave us Cloud and Squall and Tidus was scared of a manly man lead like Basch causing the game to flop like Vagrant Story did with its own manly man lead, so a prettyboy was shoved in with Vaan. To the XII team's credit, they barely even tried to fit him into the plot, making him a tagalong kid…
FFXII is amazing. One of the best FFs. So you're not exactly the majority opinion in not liking FFXII. It got a perfect score from Famitsu back in the day when that meant something.
Uematsu did all of 1.0 FFXIV's music himself at least. Shame it all got replaced with the release of A Realm Reborn. "Navigator's Glory" is an amazing FF track.
Nope, FFXI(the MMO) required a HDD. FFXII is just a normal old memory card card. FFXI ended up being one of only two or three games that ever actually made use of the HDD directly, shows how useless the damned thing ended up being, Sony's little harddrive experiment.
He's a techie like his dad. But it works well towards regular people having nothing priorities like Luke had. He couldn't help his uncle on the farm, he wanted to go hang out with his friends in the closest small town instead! You have to make him a nobody to make the hero's journey more significant.
FFXII was on PS2, never on PC. It may get a HD re-release like FFX/X-2 did for PS3, but it hasn't been announced just yet, just a vague promise that if FFX/X-2 HD did well they might make FFXII HD.
Does your exclusion of non-Tactics FF games also include FFXII? That one was made by the Tactics team, same composer, same setting, the works. It has more in common with Tactics than the other numbered FFs. If you haven't, I highly recommend it.
Cidolfus Demen Bunansa. I love the Ivalice style.
And I had to log out and back in to like yours because AV Club still has that stupid disqus problem. So we legit users have to login out and in constantly to post/like, but spammers can post as guests just fine. I don't understand this world we live in!
Tetsuya Nomura and Tite Kubo should collaborate. It's obvious by Bleach's attention to detail in normal clothing that Kubo's first career choice was a fashion designer. Maybe he could teach Nomura how to scale back clothing designs a little. Kubo's Bleach designs actually look like outfits people would wear, with…
