Thanks for the kind words. I don't really know how the site feels (I don't get stats and have been too busy to inquire), but this definitely stifled conversation…or maybe it was just that the show is in season five, and is starting to see less investment from viewers who are likely to comment on these reviews. I don't

Not everyone! (Just mostly everyone).

The geography and temporality of everything to do with that fence is nonsense.

I was watching screeners, so I avoided this particular indignity, which sounds most unfortunate.

It's insane that it was cut from the show.

Piper sort of stumbled into her role as an antagonist in that season, but I'd argue Maria was more aggressively turned into an antagonizing figure in order to serve as a legitimate threat against Piper and showcase the militarized approach of the incoming inmates. But you're right that they're complicated positions,

But the guest star credits play during the first scene, not during the credits proper.

Thanks—others have pointed it out, but I missed it on first viewing, and honestly: it shouldn't have to be a background shot. The continuity problem still stands. But thanks for the heads up.

I like this read, but again: the episode doesn't DO anything with that element of his story.

For the sake of everyone's general happiness, ignore the grades and just read the reviews.

If not for the Hot Cheetos and Takis viral video, I wouldn't know they existed.

That scene? 100%. The rest of that Taystee flashback? Not so much.

Insofar as it's intended as a joke about how I like naps? Then yes.

When she was brought back to the prison after hiding out in the cabin after the lake escape, she was brought into Piscatella's office and he said some ominous things about what was in her file.

I honestly don't know if I've ever used skinheads? I think I usually just go with Nazis.

It's a solid flashback, 100%. Just didn't really register as a JANAE flashback, given she wasn't even central to the episode.

None of these reviews were promoted to the top of the TV Club homepage or the main page—it's only in the TV Club listings where it pushed stuff back, and I'd say more traffic comes from social and the main page areas than there. But it's definitely something we'd look into adjusting should we do this again in the

To be clear, I really like this reading, but I don't think the show did it justice in the way you're suggesting. We needed an additional flashback in his episode to show the aftermath of the attack, and we needed a clearer sense of why his general desire to crack heads would become such a SPECIFIC crusade against Red.

Would there be THAT many local people who would show up? This is just a clear trigger for me on the verismilitude front, so I don't expect everyone to have the same logistical questions I did.

I 100% did not make this connection, but neither did the show, so points to you.
