As someone who was watched both shows all seasons, all episodes, I can tell you that  Sons isn't as good as Breaking Bad. But then nothing is as good as Breaking Bad IMO. Sons has been consistently satisfying viewing (except some episodes in the third season.) If Breaking Bad is an A overall, Sons overall is a B+.

A second lone voice. I like Colm Meaney a lot, but it seemed overdone and puffed up, with no real menace. 50% of that was the lame lines he was given, esp. in the beginning scenes. Those scenes came off as second-class, and it set the second-class tone for the rest of the pilot. His scene at the end was much better.

I thought the same thing. Just missing the scars - maybe they'll show up later.

Cleaned up.

Yeah, he blowed 'em up real good!

See, I don't know how you'd "pull" people through the crazy side-line batshit stuff (which I love) without the central boring core of the Harmons. They just need to spend a little less time on them to minimize the boring. But they have to keep them going, or they have no narrative core to progress with. And, to some

All of our comments are ghosts. I'm not even sure I exist anymore.

It was still funny tho, even out of context.

Ghost Station: THAT'S what Season Two will be about.

Not to mention they seem to take their sweet time in arriving. I almost forgot the alarm had gone off, or she had pushed the panic button. By the time hot black security fuck-the-wife guy arrives we're into a whole 'nuther subplot! Jarring in a fucked up way.

While I don't hate The Walking Dead (tho they have greatly disappointed me with the last two episodes) I do agree that I'm finding myself more looking forward to watching the next episode of AHS than TWD, which is a complete reversal from three weeks ago. AHS has so completely gone over the crazy line it's become fun.

Couldn't agree more. It needs to get weirder and funnier. Will only help. Go for broke. Right now it's only the promise of that keeping me watching.

If they can keep up the fun that emerged in "Halloween Part 1" they might end up with one of the best camp shows ever. Ever. It's possible.

Sassy Precog baby - agreed, shoot me through the head.

"You have every right to react exactly the way you did…."

Nothing wrong with high expectations. Breaking Bad sets the bar. TWD is frustrating because of it's potential but the writer's willingness to squander an opportunity to make something great. Lots of us who enjoy the genre are frustrated by this show.

I can handle some of the plot twists, but can't handle characters that were smart in Season 1 becoming so stupid in Season 2. Maybe it's because we didn't have to live through broadcast-network level dialogue in the first season like we had to in this episode (at times it felt like I was watching the endless stupid

His reaction to seeing Larry playing the air violin was priceless. Still a great actor.

Agreed. A favorite of contrarian reviewers, but often wrong, particularly in this case.

Agreed - we can count on one hand the number of times he's done anything that thoughtful for the recipient. Of course, he probably suspected it would get under the skin of the women…who, I might add, were very stupid about it… "he's a 'normal' seven year old!'….as tho gay isn't normal.
