Yes, Empire of the Sun is pretty excellent from beginning to end. I can't think of a miss moment in the entire (2 and a half hour) film.

Mysterious Skin is one of the better child molestation and gay rape movies I've seen recently. Levitt was pretty good in it.

It looks like Dennis Quaid is trying to remember something really mundane amidst a scene of destruction. "I gave that parking attendant a tip, didn't I?" or "Did I remember to pack some tylenol?"

The io9 blog has been pimping Middleman like nothing else. So, when I finally checked it out, I was completely underwhelmed. It has its charms I suppose but I guess it's just not my thing.
