Small request
Can the cover thumbnails act as links to their larger versions?
Trauma: Life in the ER
This sounds a little like the old TLC show Trauma: Life in the ER. Its re-runs still air regularly on their health channel. Most of the drama in it came from the trauma surgeries, not from doctor's personal lives.
Zzzzzzzz
This show reminded me of Moment of Truth in that presented the right way, it could've been wonderfully entertaining garbage but it's presented in such a generic, phoned-in, drawn-out reality show package it becomes pretty much unwatchable. All it's missing is some British person doling out mild insults.…
Without going to the site in question (another hard day at work), I'm going to say, maybe?
Well now I feel really lucky. It's possible my wife likes this movie more than me. I am a man-child though, so maybe that explains it.
I've interpreted that scene as a snapshot of Sandler and Watson. Sandler is the violent uncontrollable car crash while Watson is a quiet meek little bit of peace dropped in almost randomly.
That wink is another nod to Popeye. Altman used the same fade in it at least once.
The writer for this episode was Daniel Knauf. The creator of Carnivale (he wrote every episode as well).
This was easily the longest article I've read about Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo in the past couple days.
I discovered Rampart a few years ago on some abandonware site. It was pretty fun (though frustrating playing via a DOS emulator). In single player, the main enemies were ships.
ZMF's question is probably worth sending in to Ask The AVC.
Dallas Won The Cold War
It's true! This Washington Post article says so:

Is Opera really one of his best? I just watched it about a week or two ago and it's the only Argento film I've seen. I thought it straddled the line between mediocre horror and just a plain bad movie.
Hey, there's an idea. A Criterion box set of every MYOF entry. With commentary tracks by Nabin. And ZMF, for balance.
I like D'Onofrio but I hate his head tilting in L&O: CI. He tilts his head more than a confused dog.
Reading Rainbow
I can't find a clip online, but I swear to Christ, the episode "Gregory, the Terrible Eater" where Levar visits a diner staffed and patronized by Goat People was the most terrifying shit I've ever seen.
Couldn't Disagree More
I don't think there were many low points in this episode. There were quite a few high points though.
smug, self-conscious camp
Horror films need to stop with this intentional camp stuff. It rarely works and it's almost never funny nor enjoyable. It's like the filmmakers used up all the fun in making the movie and forgot to pass some on to the audience.
Lou Gehrig Speech
For me, the speech is forever intertwined with Norm MacDonald's version on SNL:
Today.. I consider myself.. the luckiest man.. on the face.. of the earth…. I was being sarcastic! I'm unlucky! I may be the unluckiest man.. on the face.. of the earth! I have a disease.. so rare.. they named it after me.…
