Just saw Lost in Translation for the first time. I took a couple of screenshots of memorable shots, and after reviewing them together, they all had Scarlet Johansson with the same mute expression on her face.

Todd, I'm betrayed. I thought you were like Bill Murray in any of his movies, but it turns out you're more like Michael Douglas in any of his movies.
…Assuming the lack of link here to the Deadline article is deliberate commentary?
Now I imagine him ordering at a Taco Bell drivethrough
Graaaaaah, I just did some google searching and found that Fuller said his dream for season 2 would be to bring in David Bowie as Lecter's uncle, which…..this is a terrifyingly cruel thing to do to the fans of a low rated show.
Humans eating human flesh ranks a distant #2.
I thought NBC was trying to pull some funny business too, but the promo ended by saying that Hannibal will start at 10:15pm, which…..I hope I read that right?
I have an SD feed of NBC, which feels criminal. I definitely check the online HD streaming version the next day and am always impressed.
The operatic scoring could easily have been heavyhanded, but I thought it ultimately worked beautifully. Kind of like a gothic fever dream.
Let me be clear: I am firmly opposed to serial murderers and cannibalism!
Agreed that this is way way too harsh on Ganz. And I'm not sure why Guarascio and Port don't even mention a name, as long as someone's in the mood for dropping targets on people.
Whoa whoa whoa, let's not say things we can't take back here! I'm not trying to defend No Strings Attached as a total piece, but given what Meriwether's done with New Girl, I saw a common thread in the enjoyable peripheral interactions with the friends, and the broad premise.
@avclub-d7f43e1fb2d4977c86163d9b0cb07814:disqus I assumed Broyles' line about sample size meant their post was joking about overgeneralizing from their own experience
You know, as long as we're lobbing accusations of bad faith and posturing around?
After getting into New Girl I watched No Strings Attached just to follow what Meriwether has done before; and if you ignore the gaping vacuum of chemistry between Kutcher and Portman the movie definitely has a similar kind of fun banter-between-friends that New Girl has.
oh hey girl
I like knowing that they weren't happy with "Neighbors" - a bit reassuring that even if New Girl fades a bit episode to episode, it's something the showrunners are already probably aware of. And when you're pumping out 25 (!) episodes a season, it's not surprising that they have to occasionally triage one and move on…
Two things I loved: Cece had no time for Jess's emotional business. She's got her own damn problems!
poetry
I think everything of that was entirely based off of a single line from Kevin Spacey's House of Cards character. Between this and the Mitch Albom knockoff Neil Campbell seems to love building obviously paper-thin characters, and somehow spins gold from it.
