That's Jeff Gerstmann who left Gamespot over a Kane and Lynch review, though I don't think he's ever spoken very thoroughly about what actually conspired. He went on to found Giant Bomb with Ryan Davis (RIP) who was also on the site's editorial staff

Does Kotaku have a poor reputation in the space? I know next-to-nothing about the site (except the fact that Giant Bomb's Patrick Kelpek just joined their staff)

Does gaming journalism actually suck though? Can't say much about the "mainstream" gaming media (is there even such a thing?), but, in following Giant Bomb and Gameological, I really haven't been exposed to anything shady

I'm not saying that the movie is flawless (I even agree with some of what you say), but it's difficult for me to see how a person can say that this movie is not entertaining. It's funny, the acting is fantastic, and it's pretty to look at

There tons of moments that are undeniably funny, so I can't understand either how a person could watch this movie without having been at least mildly entertained. Who wouldn't want to see Brolin stomp out a hippie-clad joaquin phoenix as he curls into the fetal position and covers his b-hole?

The years have been surprisingly kind to most of the Jackass crew. Knoxville has made a great career for himself

And I remember Wildboyz being a really fun show when it was running. I wonder how well it holds up, though.

The A.V. Club
for jerks

The Flaming Lips, "She Don't Use Jelly"

I mostly agree, but just last year the singer from The Walkmen did a pretty great job with that John Mellencamp jam - so at least its' not unheard of.

This sounds like a nightmare waiting to happen

80s sythns or GTFO

It's minimal enough to sound great in the AVC's space. I'd love to hear a take of this song with some truly great vocals

I might actually enjoy that a lot

That or "Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground" would be nice

Vitamin C, "The Graduation Song"?

Kanye West, "Coldest Winter"

and Andre 3k's "Hey Ya" for good measure

The Ben Stiller cameo was really great, too. That's just about the only thing I remember about that movie

I don't know much about Canada - but maybe Ontario is like Canada's Florida? Just speculating here… Every country has to have a Florida.
