Wouldn't he have done it in a heartbeat if he felt it would help his situation? He held back because Martha relented on her earlier challenge to their arrangement. He didn't assemble the tape to be cruel, but rather to ensure her cooperation. When the threat dissipated, there was no need to bring out the big guns at

Very good points.

The only other one I remember is "guard dog." Fusco's nicknames are even better:
- Wonderboy
- Mr. Happy
- Mr. Sunshine
- Tall, dark and deranged
- Psychopathic vigilante
- Bane of my existence
- Kemosabe
- Mr. Congeniality

Vasili lives! Super cool, I hope that we see more of him. He is the Soviet counterpart to Stan's dreaded "bureaucracy," and now we see that he is a true survivor.

Yes, it was actually 1982 music; no "oldies" stations for the Jennings.

Last week, I defended Lucia here from some of you who found her completely unsympathetic. I somewhat dreaded the idea that she would have to die. But when the time came, I didn't feel much real sympathy at all. She was not only unstable, but unforgivably stupid. Phillip had the only wisdom on the subject of Lucia:

They really should have let Oleg explain how the Arpanet works last week. He can explain the techno stuff so that even Arkady can understand it. "That's the report I want to send to Moscow."

It seems that the quality of Sonia's reviews work in inverse proportion to the quality of the show under review. She was brilliant reviewing Helix, but I wouldn't want her anywhere near The Americans.

That's "Nathan Ingram," though I can't imagine many things cooler than connecting Michael Emerson and Nathan Lane.

Actually, I meant at least four commenters on the AV Club. The review itself is meh, but I enjoy these discussions immensely.

Spiders are as unkosher as it gets, and Spidey is no cannibal. No, fear of intermarriage is the one and only possible explanation for his failure to get it on with the inscrutable Gwen.

This is still in play; I suspect that the Machine's dominoes are just beginning to fall.

"Good review?" The review is the least interesting part of the AV Club experience of this show. There are at least four commenters whose reviews are far more interesting and insightful than those of the clown getting paid to do this.

Yes, the Machine definitely has a hidden motive regarding "control" of Samaritan. I don't pretend to have it figured out, but there are enough possibilities to ensure that the reveal will be exciting.

I haven't lived in Michigan for many years, and would pay big bucks for a real Verner's or a Faygo "Rock 'n Rye."

Phillip Jennings needs to be driving a Gene Hunt - style Audi (as legendary as the one driven by Phillip Glenister in Ashes to Ashes).

Lester enjoys Grape Faygo! Very rare for Faygo to show up anywhere. I think I saw a bottle amidst the litter on Low Winter Sun, and of course it's a "Juggalo" standard. I grew up with it in Detroit, and didn't realize that it was even distributed as far away as rural Minnesota.

I find myself strangely agreeing that bikinis would be a huge mistake. The show doesn't hesitate to highlight its characters' sex appeal when necessary, but doesn't need to rely on it. I can't imagine these characters being any more exciting than they are, and cheapening them would be sad.

As Reese and Shaw mention, the Machine has been ordering hits all along. It's Finch that's changed.

"I know a steak joint that serves a filet that's better than sex."
