Assassins Creed 2 helps steer you towards moral choices - if you kill just a few civilians, you have to restart the mission. When you are riding a horse and decide to plow through a group of women who are walking along the road, its highly likely you'll fall off your horse. The game creator's must've realized -

I know its probably fun to donate to some lesser-known charity run by a celebrity, but Christ, just fucking donate to the Red Cross. Supposedly Wyclef is organizing a single plan filled with supplies to fly to Haiti. Noble cause, but it seems inefficient and if he simply gave whatever money he collected to the red

Its still OK to view Ansari as an average comic right?
Because y'all motherfuckers on avclub are acting like he's goddamn Richard Pryor or something. Jesus Christ.

When any of you douchebags have a baby…
…and at a young age, said baby figures out how to open a door, without a speck of fanfare, then you start questioning the Raptor intelligence level.

Good point Jorge, plus switching into first person with their theoretical question doesn't help.

My interest here, Baby Troll, is the scope of the "media" reaction. Obviously this isn't the place to get into a deep discussion about the disaster itself or donations.

Thanks for responding, Josh. I guess im having a difficult time reconciling what I see as - comparitively - a lukewarm response to this vs September 11th. I understand the nature of domestic vs. foreign disasters, but gosh, this thing just decimated a country, and not abstractly. Ugh, hate to throw out number, because

The company is really just called "Dick Clark"?
It kind of reminds me of "Coupon: The Movie".

Out of curiousity
I know it's entirely outside of the pop culture lexicon, but was there any serious though given in to running something regarding the Haiti earthquake on the newswire? I'm not annoyed that you guys haven't, Im just curious about how an organization like avclub/theonion reacts to something like this.

I'm not saying NBC isn't a group of morons or that he isn't doing the right thing. I'm just pointing out that if he were to play ball he'd probably make multiples more than leaving. I think people here are overestimating how much Conan Obrien is desired by other networks. He could stand to lose a lot of money here by

Does Conan's refusal to switch time slots void his contract?
He's gotta be careful here. There is no way another network will go anywhere near what NBC was paying him, especially after establishing that he's not really a ratings darling.

The terrifc spins was that the script really moved along and held interest, as opposed to clunky sci-fi theoretical plots of the old movies where everybody was just running around on the ship like chickens with their heads cut off.

They are both flawed, but Metacritic's system of assigning number scores is weird. I've seen reviews essentially calling something the worst movie of the year, and they equate that to a 50/100.

In a year and a half my DVR has never picked up this episode, and I think I've literally recorded every other episode aired. Are they not airing this specific one again for a specific reason?

The brilliance of the show
Todd, you say No Reservation's is "one of TV's best travelogues." I'll go a step further - it is far and away TV's best travelogue - I'm not sure what is even it its league. Zimmern and Samantha are commercialized, goofy jokes compared to Bourdain - his Faux-mean jokes about them are only

So I finally saw Avatar
I fail to see how the film's flaws can lead to not enjoying the overall film. Do you people enjoy kicking babies or something?

His body looks like George Michael Bluth's.

So is Annie Leibovitz famous for taking the worst possible pictures of people?
This picture looks so bad I thought it was photoshopped. He must be so focused on winning golf tournaments that he simply ignores less-relevant muscles, like says abs.

Yeah I loved 2001: A Space Odyssey.

I've settled into a comfortable area over the past few years where I've decided Its Alway Sunny is my favorite current show, but I have no need to convince others of such or be upset when it gets wholly ignored by the awards show. When, to me, the funniest thing on a show is a character disagreeing with someone simply
