The single funniest part of the episode
In the cold open, Dwight's goofy, over-excited response to Michael going into his blind character was just hilarious. This is a recurring bit - there is just something about Dwight being the only character that enjoys Michael's hijinks that is hilarious.

The arc of the season
First episode - not perfect, but lots of potential. The season hits a peak with the Wayne Jarvis episode, just really funny. Then each subsequent week, the ratio of laughs/talking goes down. This show is so so damn talky and outside of Joel, Chevy and various side characters, I'm not buying into…

Avclub is usually good about parsing out the pretentious over-done stuff, which was the indication I was getting about this movie from its current less than impressive review collection on rottentomatoes.

Your right - I looked it up, and "foodie" is nothing more than someone who is generally into food and restaurants and what not? Thats not a new thing, its not even a distinct cultural group.

The mixed drinks he makes at the end of his show are probably 500 calories by themselves.

Little known fact (theory?) about Family Guy episode titles - the first four episodes - Death has a Shadow, I never met the dead man, Chitty Chitty Death bang, and Mind over Murder, all had (obviously) death-related titles and death-related storylines. I love the apostrophe on "cananot' ". Like he was trying to say "can't" and "cannot" at the same time.

Just recast it with new actors, like they did with that Harry and Lloyd movie which was just great.
