The bit poking fun at Robot Chicken was fine, but for Family Guy to even mockingly poke fun at another show for the "those things existed!" joke, and then to go and call out another show for lazy writing was ridiculous. Every now and then they try something, like the Disney bit, but it's pretty rare now. The second

I'm with Tasha. That game was just annoying and not all that great. It did feel more like luck than skill.

I had a Van Dyke in 1999. I looked like the stupidest pirate ever.

Wiig
I really like Kristin Wiig, except when she does the reoccurring characters. I fast forward through the Grimes bit, and the Target lady drives me up the wall. But I think she's funny otherwise.

Probably because even if it were a masterpiece, the anti-Microsoft trolls would be on there. (Having said that, the video is pretty ridiculous.)

There are English words that originate in foreign tongues, but have different pronunciations in English.

I was firmly on the "this looks stupid" side of things, but that's why we have you guys! Glad this sounds good, and I'll watch the first ep online and put it on the DVR for the rest.

I don't see why you couldn't go to a regular KFC and have them emulate this for you. I'm sure they have all the parts they need to do so. I think ZMF is right in that this isn't really that big of a deal, and nobody would care if it just came with the fork. Two fried chicken breasts topped with cheese and a couple

Not an A- movie
Sorry, Tasha, I think your taste is probably closest to mine, but we disagree on this one. Thanks to the kindness of the AV Club, I got to see it on Monday here in beautiful Austin, Texas. I thought it was boring (especially considering that things don't move slowly), not funny (given that there's a

I, too, was at the Austin screening, but my take on the film is far closer to mizerock. I didn't really enjoy it, and think an A- is far too generous.

The thing about the Goode Family (which I also like) is that it wasn't so often about skewering the left, even though that's what it can appear to be. Usually its stabs are at groupthink and being so consumed with approval of others. In fact, I remember the second or third episode's plot was making fun of the

"Asians are all the same"??? That was never a theme of any episode. The Arlen Asian community was always filled with very unique characters. Episodes were centered around how different Khan was from Ted or how far from the tree Connie's apple fell.

I was happy that we got a little Khan when he went with Hank to save Bobby.

Good post, Hater
No hate here. I actually just wanted to say that this was a great post, and I enjoyed it. Props when they're due.

Differences between CO and COH?
Okay, so I've played City of Heroes for over 5 years now, and I'm not going to switch over to Champions. But the thing is, I don't see any reason to do so. It looks like the same game, but without the 5 years of updates and improvements that CoH has.

It's true. They didn't even include one of the Beatles' most famous songs: Last Train to Clarksville.

Yeah, HBO's Labor Day hiatus got another week of subscribing from me, but once the True Blood and Hung finales air next week, I'm canceling it until Big Love comes back.

Yes, people listen to you guys
Each year, there are all these new shows. I know that I don't have a chance of watching them all, so I trust the experts to go through them for me. I think the AVC has a pretty good feel for good TV, so they're the top of my list for critical analysis of shows. A good view of a show

ZMF is right. I decided to give Sons a pass because the initial reviews here weren't that spectacular. But I wish I had watched it from the top because I'll have to wait for season 2 to hit DVD to get caught up.

I'd just like to call attention to what Dr. Acula said above:
