Fuck the Shins
…and their woman-beating keyboardist. They're not that good anyway, but are morally bankrupt because they don't kick his abusive ass out.

Surely you jest…
…because this show is crap.

Sorry, dude, but those words mean something. I think their use was entirely appropriate here.

***SPOILERS FOR THIS AND THE NEXT TWO FILMS***

Good panel this week.
I appreciate that this week's panel wasn't dominated by small, indie books that nobody reads. Those books have their place, but I'm not always interested in navel-gazing books that think that goofy pictures make their boring coming-of-age tales interesting. (Yes, I'm being deliberately cruel,

Genevieve wins again
Best story of the Q&A goes to Genevieve, of course, because it lacks pretension and is genuinely funny. But Emily comes a close second because it's clear that dude left an important, lasting impression.

1) Massacres are not to be blamed on how people feel about guns, but should be blamed on a few irrational, psychotic minds that need, but never received, professional help. (By your logic, there should have been school shootings all the time back in the 50s and before.)
2) Meh, I've nothing to say to this one.
3) I

Moore and Capitalism
I expect Michael Moore to understand capitalism about as well as I expect Sarah Palin to understand science.

I heard about it on Twitter.

Strawberry Starfruit Kool-Aid
Forgot this one… (Not that anyone reads this far back in the comments anyway.)

PB Max: The Demise
I was sad, but content, thinking that PB Max just didn't find a market and couldn't sell. Why that would be the case, I'll never know, but at least I thought that it had a fair shot.

…you can call it the Surgeon.

Surge + Gin would be a winner for sure.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention that it's still around in Norway. What?? AVClubbers, let's book a flight…

Like many here, I discovered Surge in high school. I was at a computer programming competition one weekend, and they had it at cups of it for sale. I was intrigued by the green soda, and was a big fan from that day forward. I recall being absolutely thrilled to see it in the fountain at the college cafeteria, and

Best one yet
As I made my way through season one, I never loved the show, but enjoyed it well enough to come back for season 2. I liked the previous episode, but this one was great. I enjoyed it start to finish. The whole thing worked really well, and if the show can maintain this quality, then I'll be a true

It actually is funny, and I don't think it's worth the Hater's ire. It's not really for douchebags, since it pretty brutally makes fun of them. It's a good translation of a funny site, and the site creator is heavily involved in the show.

Keep trying, guys
I love the Hater's blog. It's usually pretty witty, funny, and entertaining. I look forward to new posts, and usually end up re-reading what I've read online in the paper edition. So when I saw that Amelie was doing an audio version, I was looking forward to it because I expected more of the same.

Good for Josh. Maybe he's finally growing up into a man.

Yeah, I know. Jin was looking pretty amused in the intro today. I was amused by his amusement. I think he may have wanted a bite of IESDC's Toblerone, though.
