Maybe "Take Care"?  The do a version of it that was on Summer Sun.

"pulling me on stage and stuff"

Yea, I like them too.  I think Monsoon, their second album, is good too. It has Scott McCaughey from the Young Fresh Fellows and some of the guys from Wilco on a couple of songs.

I'm with you there, @avclub-22eda830d1051274a2581d6466c06e6c:disqus .

I saw Pearl Jam around the time Vitalogy was out, at a fan club show in Seattle at the Moore Theater.  I wasn't even really a fan; they had donated the tickets to this arts summer-school program that I went to and we were all given a ticket.  I look back on it with more fondness now then I felt at the time, but the

Yea, I think Noel wins this round.

I saw Preston School of Industry around Monsoon's release; I'd seen them previously and there were no Pavement covers, so I was pleasantly surprised when they busted out "Kennel District" - it sounded great.

I saw a Built To Spill show where in between songs Doug asked, "Any requests?", which lead to several folks yelling out, "FREEBIRD!", as is the custom.

Andy Williams - I didn't think he'd do "Moon River", but then BAM!! Second encore!

Very cool, thanks for the link @avclub-9ad2f925a32643f541b183503f33a8c6:disqus !

Yea, I was actually trying to set you up for some Alexander-esque pontificating about the theory of Directing Without Directing.

What was the topic of your paper @avclub-fec1b8d3fbc08f27a84e5a334d45bb5a:disqus ?

I agree with @avclub-c2c763e148211c9aab4a3c8bf8c02ae4:disqus that F For Fake has a dated quality to it but that's an aspect that I kinda like it for.  It has a crazy '70s experimental pacing and energy to it.  Compare it to Citizen Kane (which, I'll agree @avclub-b63f73301fe289a7c258eb2e3f4986ce:disqus , rules) and

Citizen Kane for me, because, you know…greatest film of all time.

@avclub-53a226780628f3d898494942ad3dd491:disqus , yea, what does "Directing Without Directing" mean?

Spring Breakers: "meaningful…seductive… transcendent"

"Dr. Ninja Productions" has a certain ring to it.
