If Kindergarten Cop is so bad, then why did Criterion add it to the collection, hmm?

Yea, that stood out for me in Nathan's review … definitely was a knife.

That one sounds particularly memorable and YLT seems to traffic in the thrill of the one-off cover (i.e. Yo La Tengo Is Murdering The Classics and their WFMU requests shows); watching a cover in concert often has that feeling - the fun and excitement of seeing something out of the ordinary happening.

Cool, I just checked out the Criterion page - http://www.criterion.com/fi… - for Brand.  I haven't seen it since the live version and it was interesting how just hearing the music in the trailer could bring back the feeling of seeing it the first time (intrigued and excited while being slightly disturbed).

I got to see the live Brand Upon the Brain! with Karen Black as the narrator and she was fantastic. Crispin Glover would have been awesome, tho.
