Probably a good idea

I'm blaming you.

I don't want to live like this.

"Nyet" to people "nyet-ing" my new favorite show.

My vote is for Roland. Uggggggh.

Wow, I had totally missed the Dick Van Dyke reference. I had always assumed they were referring to a petri dish… because the community is small and enclosed? But I had never seen it written.
Also, as hard of a shipper as I am it's fun to see them "play house", but the story kind of brings it down a notch. I think the

Yeah, I don't get why networks wanted to charge on with shows when a decline in quality and a decline in ratings is inevitable.
But I think they definitely should have ended at the 8th season AT THE LATEST. And I actually like Doggett and Reyes, but ugh- the mythology is horrendous.
…..season 5 would have been perfect

Not gonna lie, Dreamland is easily one of my favorite episodes. But I love the X-Files comedic episodes that seem to piss off the older, long-time viewers.
Also, I think Fletcher re-appears later this season for like 2 seconds- which is fantastic.

Don't blame the AV Club. Blame middle-America.

I try not to get butt-hurt about being spoiled for shows that ended 11 years ago. So I'm looking forward to it. :)

If I remember correctly Carter actually wanted to the show by the seventh or eighth season but Fox was planning on carrying on without him. THEN he got the big idea that the show could essentially go one forever just with new characters which, meh… but I kind of have a soft spot for Doggett and Skinner.

I think it may be due to the fact that I didn't catch on to The X-Files until this year but all my favorite episodes are the comedic ones.
And in Scully's defense, she had conveniently passed out when the UFO rose up and flew off into the sky.
