If you want something engaging, dark, and slightly naughty, I've gotta suggest Gun Crazy, one of the best sort of-noirs ever.  It's a nice low-budget film about barely concealed sexual gratification in violence, and it has some wonderful dialogue, as well as a single-take bank robbery scene that knocks my socks off.

Lubitsch's comedy musicals- which are in a really fabulous Criterion set- are wonderfully risque and just plain funny.  I saw most of them during a TCM marathon earlier this year.

I am so incredibly sorry to hear that.  I can't imagine losing someone so young in that manner.  I'll keep you in my thoughts.

Having finally read the profile of her in New York, I'm experiencing a Fiona Apple renaissance at the moment, and it is lovely.

I hope they're paying him more than $50 to make out on camera.

His sister last season was used a little too much for my liking.  I mean, I enjoyed that she existed, but I don't want to see her for more than two minutes per episode.

I can't recall seeing anyone earning canceraids in the past month or so, which either means that AVC comments have become more high-brow, or I've just blocked it out.

I totally forgot she was in it.  Yeah, looks like I'll be watching it until Whedon burns me again.
