Only watched High School USA! and I think the only thing I really enjoyed (other than the familiar voices) was the chainsmoking bully telling Athlete Bully that all the "nerds" getting punished by bullies were perverts.  I can't imagine this lasting more than one season, but I hope it improves with time.

The only thing that could have improved season two was an explanation for why Gustav and Heinrich disappeared.

No, he just didn't help a woman on the beach who was being raped while she called for him to save her.

I remember that too.  I hate double-sided discs, almost as much as I hate people who don't understand aspect ratio.  An ex of mine had a coworker who believed Kubrick films were all meant to be shown in 1.85, and he apparently returned his copy of The Shining because it was 1.33.

If it's not the cropping, it's the random selection of seasons for television shows.  I'm kind of surprised the first half of season five of Breaking Bad isn't up yet.

If there's anything I've learned from Cartoon Network, it's that Hitler is one mad science experiment away from loving the Jews.

I'm mentally putting a big red NO over that question.

Ugh, this just reminds me of a regular customer at my bookstore who told me on Wednesday that if brown people don't want to be racially profiled, "they should stop blowing things up."  I was far too stunned to respond, but I think I'm gonna make someone else ring her up from now on.

Does Blake Lively really smell like sunshine and KY, as I imagine her to?

Having played gay once, she is on the "Deadpan Dolores's List of Approve Actors."  I'll at least watch the pilot of this show.

@Scrawler2:disqus Yeah, I was considering doing that too.  I'll probably do the same with the new Pynchon.

That reminds me.  New Donna Tartt this year!

"And his consciousness streamed on in the friscalating dusklight."

Yeah, this comment is definitely not racist.

I don't know if I should even be attending grown-up movies at age 26.  If a movie is sad, like In the Mood for Love or Umbrellas of Cherbourg, I will cry the whole way through.

I don't want to see "relentless pounding" and "Kirk Cameron" in the same sentence.

I don't think he approves of their treatment of Pastor Mike.

@avclub-8295e428ce420ab52401e3a18aa8d69c:disqus I had no idea there was a Kanye-less version.  That sounds awful.

Gross.

You sound like one devoted Allen fan.  I've always wanted to see him play.  And sorry about the girl, man.
