I guess they'd have to, in order to get permission to show her face on TV. But that's what's so brilliant about those bits—they are so expertly edited, and Dave is so hilarious, that you never question the reality of it. So great.

I didn't mind that they were guests (although the guest-read Top Ten lists always kind of drag, as the introductions are time-consuming and the guests always kind of have to ham up their line readings a bit to be heard over the applause), but it was very "CBS" in the star-quality of those guests. I'd rather have seen,

I don't know that it's that ridiculous. DC could occasionally publish a stand-alone comic book about the adventures of the boy wonder, called "Robin," so when people talk about "the latest issue of Robyn," there actually seems to be some potential for confusion.

Agreed. Not everyone who's trans, though, will disclose that on their profile—many might wait until the first in-person meeting, which I think was Dan's point.

Eh, the guy's 71. He's earned his retirement by now.

Yeah, me too, but it was a huge flop!

I read the book in Junior High for a book report because it was in our school library and the title sounded awesome. It made zero sense to 13-year-old me. Until I read this article, I thought the titular Eaters of the Dead were werewolves or something.

"Brain Donors" took that route, and we all know how well that worked out!

I don't know—I think it was brilliant that they showed, in the first episode, the world being destroyed and rebuilt several times to eliminate any expectation that the future would be a direct continuation of today. Such a great catch-all that really just gave the writers free reign to do what they want.

Better that than in front of him.

Capital One commercials.

I wouldn't pay it forward to see this one.

I just joined up. My user name on there is "Cooldude4000"

CRUNCH ALL YOU WANT

Donald Pleasance is VERY punk.

Craig T. Nelson may be a right-wing wacko, but he was damn great in The Incredibles.

Anyone know what the budgets on these are like? I always figured one of the big expenses of Pixar/Dreamworks/etc movies is the fact that they have to build their enitre worlds from scratch each time: modeling every tree, car, manhole cover, etc. to suit the individual needs/setting/look of the film. It seems to me

At first, I read that as "Leslie Nielsen" and for a minute I was really excited that he was alive again.

If I had to guess, I'd say it's because movies and TV are great at taking great premises and adapting them into works that bear little resemblance to the original execution, maybe? I never read the 30 Days of Night comics, were they very similar to the movie?

His schtick can get old sometimes (especially when he's used in lesser projects), but holy god I love Ken Jeong. That dude is so obviously and genuinely happy to be living his dream as a working comic actor that it comes across whenever he's on screen.
