Good points, but the problem with the Krakowski issue is that she can never really have a victory on that front, i.e. embrace her heritage and go back to her "real" appearance. She looked weird enough without her "blue contacts"…What are they going to do going forward—have her abandon them for good, grow out her dark

Awesome! Josh Cooley is the guy who did "Movies R Fun," that series of paintings imagining R-rated movies as Little Golden Books: http://www.amazon.com/Movie…

I legitimately thought Kevin Meaney was in the news a couple of years ago because he died; turns out he just came out of the closet.

I guess now all we have to do is find out what Yahoo! Screen is.

Talc it down a notch, okay?

Two things can be it!

I missed a lot of episodes this season, and it makes a lot more sense to me: stuff like the "will they/won't they" relationship teases and other ongoing character bits get old when they don't progress much week after week, but they're great for more casual viewers. It was nice to check in on the show again last night

Riggle's a big guy, but I don't think "slob" is particularly accurate. He looks like he's got a lot of muscle with a little middle-aged paunch on top.

I thought of "I Am Legend" too with Phil stocking his house with all the great art and artifacts from history; Will Smith's character had done basically the same thing.

He'd been to Alaska, so presumably he drove through at least parts of Canada (don't recall if it was X'ed out or not). Was Hawaii?

Yeah, and also—and I'm reading way too much into a comedy show here—he probably would have started putting up those "ALIVE IN TUCSON" signs shortly after the virus, starting out pretty close to home, and gradually expanding his radius. By the time he'd start to grasp the situation, he'd be committed to stay for a

Pet peeve: using the term "pitch-black comedy" to describe anything with a hint of darkness. Groundhog Day is dark in parts, but is overall very optimistic. "Dead Alive," "Happiness," "American Psycho" might be pitch-black, but not Groundhog Day.

Do we know where she came from? She "saw his signs" but unless I'm forgetting something, for all we know she could've just been in the next town over.

Will Forte is the creator of the show, so there's that. Kristen Schaal I thought was perfect, especially since she's really toned down that weird/manic/psycho thing she does a lot. Great casting for someone who's supposed to be reasonably pleasant and an ok option for a mate, but still just rubs Phil the wrong way.

Then: cancelled.

If you were raised Catholic (or any Christian religion, probably), that's a thing that's always going to be in the back of your mind, no matter what science and rational thought tells you. Makes sense that he'd revert to that with no one else around to talk to.

"Him" the character? Presumably that's where he lived pre-virus (he said "Home sweet home" upon entering that second-floor walkup he returned to after scouring the country at the beginning of the pilot). I guess it makes sense for a start—he'd know where all the stores are as well as his own personal belongings and

As I recall, there have been a handful of other actors announced to be joining the cast, so it's either going to start leaning on contrasts between flashbacks and "present day," or else it's going to turn out that Phil's not the last man (or at least the last PERSON) on earth.

I liked the book, but I…don't remember it being anything like this clip. It's a lot more disaffected teens aimlessly hanging out, less wacky sci-fi comedy.

The big scandal of Leslie's political career is going to be how she strong-armed the Park Service into relocating their office to her hometown and then immediately went to work establishing a new National Park also in said hometown.
