It was a good episode all-in-all, but it's fairly clear that this will drive the remaining episodes of the season. They'll probably do a big reveal on just why he died for a season finale. Hopefully it will be something that works- in the end that will help resolve our ambiguity about this episode as innovative vs.

The casting is good, but if a movie was done right the first time, why remake it? And why are horror movies in particular getting remade in droves? I'm hard pressed to name a horror franchise that hasn't been remade or has a remake in the works.

Micah seems the logical choice based on power, but what about Mama Petrelli? She clearly is involved at some level and seems to know about everything that happens for not apparent reason, and this wouldn't be the first time she tried to manipulate events.

Fair point about Girl Genius, but you could say the same about some of the other stories on this list that similarly fit into broader arks. If they can find a way to bring the characters of the X-men universe to the screen, surely they could do the same for Girl Genius by focusing specific characters or events.

Missing items
How about Poison Elves? Good anti-hero character with a well-developed backstory that would make a good counter-point to the Lord of the Rings movies.
