That's exactly what I did, and when I went back to it, I found the second season to be much stronger. Don't give up on it yet.

True Blood started so well, was so much fun. Now I don't know why I watch it.
I nearly walked away from Boardwalk Empire just out of lack of interest, but it really holds up best when watching a season in a short span, rather than week after week. It plays better as a really long movie than a serial show.
Interesting article. I agree that Boardwalk Empire suffers from what it measures itself up against, which is too bad, because it really is a great show. Even in it's slow moments, it's always engaging and manages to juggle a huge cast of characters rather efficiently. The Walking Dead just never seemed to measure up…
