I agree with E. Buzz. Watching them in a short time span just works better, for some reason.

That's exactly what I did, and when I went back to it, I found the second season to be much stronger. Don't give up on it yet.

Do you want to hang out with Sookie? Biggest problem of that show is the central character is also the worst character.

I nearly walked away from Boardwalk Empire just out of lack of interest, but it really holds up best when watching a season in a short span, rather than week after week. It plays better as a really long movie than a serial show.

Interesting article. I agree that Boardwalk Empire suffers from what it measures itself up against, which is too bad, because it really is a great show. Even in it's slow moments, it's always engaging and manages to juggle a huge cast of characters rather efficiently. The Walking Dead just never seemed to measure up
