ayo, AV Club. What's it take for a hip hop album to get a straight A rating? RTJ2 gets an A- and now this. The fuck you waiting for? You're not getting better albums than those two.

You mean it's not about getting fucked up and having a good time? I suppose next you're going to tell me that "Born in the USA" isn't about American exceptionalism.

It's a beautiful, complex, challenging album unlike anything I've heard that put's Kendrick not just on the list of best hip-hop artists but best musicians in the world. I gave it a second run all the way through last night and it was better than my first listen, and I expect it to get better with each additional spin.

Kendrick turned into Stankonia-era Andre 3000 so gradually I didn't even notice.

Only 2 episodes into UKS and it's great. I'm too drunk to give anymore analysis but I will say "Mexican Candy Animal".
