The death of Lucy is on my short list of moments that surprised me on TV. I feel like you can almost always see through most TV to not be completely shocked by it. But I always had a little crush on Kellie Martin, so maybe that clouded my judgment about whether she'd leave. But then, every "event" on a TV show was not

Someone brought up Romano's death already, but I must share my take on it. That scene became the final straw of my watching ER for many years. But I was not angry or annoyed or anything like it. At that point in the series, I was more or less done with the show already. I watched it much less regularly than before,

They fit much better into the 50s in the earlier seasons, though.

The SVU version of Munch was never really Munch anyway. They didn't allow for Belzer's weird personality to bleed through to his character like the did on Homicide. He was very bland from the beginning, which was one reason I never liked SVU.

This happened to the character even earlier, really. Very early on, the show practically starred Richie and Potsie. It was after Fonzie became a hugely popular character that Potsie became "the dumb guy" character.

I was kind of upset that the hospital assignment board behind Anne did not say "Dr. Ross, Dr. Greene, Dr. Carter, etc". Come on, we can't get one ER joke when they're in a hospital?

Personally, I grew up Catholic, went to private Catholic schools all my life, but I never found myself oppressed, guilt-ridden or turned into some hateful racist and / or homophobe. BUT I did grow up in Massachusetts, and I believe that Catholics around here are a fairly liberal group.

“And then, one Thursday, nearly two thousand years after one man had been nailed to a tree for saying how great it would be to be nice to people for a change…” I never saw that as sacrilegious at all. In fact, it's really an insult to people who hate other people over their religion. In other words, at its core,
