MRS. S - Was anyone a bit disappointed that she - at least via the scrapbook history, wasn't revealed as Sara's monitor?
UMMM…. THE OTHERS ARE DEAD. Killed by Helena. So they other 3 would have to show up reanimated or in flashbacks. Either way, the 4 that are still living - not to mention any A/V material to show the other 5 - is more than enough to keep the drama going.
Seriously, we know this one is gonna last. Which one of you illustrious and deserving AV Clubbers gonna review the new DALLAS?

You forgot to wonder about why did Prometheus have to kamikaze the alien ship? AKA why didn't the freaking trillion-dollar enterprise put GUNS ON IT? It could've at least shot it down first…

While I love the ideas about humans being a bio-weapon made from the Engineers, it does beg the question that I've yet seen asked: what were humans supposed to fight and/or destroy? Dinosaurs? It's not like the Engineers couldn't have the tech to take over the planet — or wait out in the orbit (or our Moon) for…

While I give you your points - and I'm one of your many Likes - you talk only about plot. What I get drives much of the disdain or disappointment for the film is lack of character, and narrative thrust. Which is quite inextricable (or per Robert McKee the same as) from plot.

Finally saw the episode last night. Had to keep my eyes away from this site… The first 10 minutes were the juiciest; all our young/tiny heroes being scattered or shattered. The middle was "necessary" mush - how did dragon fire beat out dark magic? But, oh Lordy, those last 30 seconds. Vigilance!

Gotta agree, except for the hatred. Problem is Depp is the ONLY actor that's got the money & fame to keep doing these characters and weird reboot-retreads. He and Burton are riding on their own coattails… I mean it was strange seeing his cameo in 21 JUMPSTREET then — well, you may know what happens next… the weirdness…
What does no one fear FRANKENWEENIE more than the DARK SHADOWS? And that's Burton's "first"…
THE SITTER wasn't AVC's fault. Nor will be 21 JUMPSTREET.
