I particularly like the way that a car dove past just as Darlene hugs Elliot, and again just as Elliot hugs her back. Almost obscuring it because as two people who are uncomfortable with affection they needed it to be hidden or secret in some way. Brilliant direction there.

While the racism shown in that Key & Peele sketch absolutely exists I'm not sure it's what was happening in this example. I think the point they are making and go on to show is that John is a superstar he has it all but Wyatt has learned to be consistent and worked to stay in the game. It's not referring to two equal

Tommen's suicide really didn't work for me. I just didn't feel he cared enough about anyone in the Sept to warrant suicide.

They really nailed that battle. There were so many details that added to it's tension. As said in the video it's really luck that saves John the first two times and that he has to choose to save himself the last time, as they said it's really effective in showing and developing the character of John. But those same

It's interesting that while Jon has obviously done plenty of fighting in his time, this was the first of this type of battle he was involved in (correct me if I'm wrong), just straight up two forces smashing into each other. I think they did really well to show Jon's horror and disorientation and then Tormund kind of

Yeah seemed cheap to me, I was like 'oh for fuck sake'. Still the tension of that battle tho.

Well not really, she waited long enough for the waif to think she was dead and if there are gaping holes in your stomach, the water isn't going to just flow right out. Also seeing as this is 'medieval times' we can assume that water was super dirty with all kinds of shit in it, so infection, yes sir.

You do bleed like six times faster in water and she jumped right into a river after she got stabbed.

I call this idea accountability in films. We have no problem with dragons, white walkers and other mythical creatures because they are accounted for in the world, this is the world that we are within. This accountability has been interestingly used to trick the audience in film before like in From Dusk Till Dawn.

Am I the only one who noticed how fucking terrible The Force Awakens was?!

Why were so many good actors cast in this movie to do nothing aggghh!!!

I tried so hard to get on board with this film but fuck me it just shat all over me for two hours.

Honestly, I don't care anymore.

Honestly I think this film basically being A New Hope with a different directopr isn't forgiveable. Nostalgia is great but you can just watch the original trilogy ffs, don't spend 200,000,000 to just make a movie that was already made!!!!!

I spent the entire film going "WHAT?!" "WHY?!" "HOW THE FUCK?!"

The iPod nano was mentioned in the episode with the high school bullies

I'm not going to say that all of Cameron Crowe's work is amazing but I think he tends to make rom comesque movies that are a little better than the norm , but my god that trailer was the cheesiest most awful thing. The emotional indie rock music, the splicing of advice for the main character and the little cut of him
