That would be the 2nd Care Bears movie. It didn't revive a person from the dead, but protected some kid from being corrupted by evil. Because stupid.

"And now he’s going to be Nanook of the North. Er, Nuktuk, Hero of the South!"
The first season Sliders is not good. Couldn't even finish it. I think it gets better in S2, but S1 was nigh unbearable outside the decent pilot movie.
I like this idea. It kinda makes it a Dr. Who-lite kinda concept, and really, if you're doing mythic mumbo-jumbo, the Dr. Who approach is the best.
The brilliant thing about Midnight (and the hidden theme in the background of S4) was that the Doctor himself creates his own downfall. From the Fires of Pompeii to the Waters on Mars, the Doctor makes all these small, subtle choices that lead to his inevitable death. It didn't quite stick the landing, but the signs…
It's basically "For the Man Who Has Everything" in Dr. Who form.
@avclub-fe401f7f1b2e5a82e7046b1a07488673:disqus If you wanna read too much into it, you could argue that's been a problem with Moffat ever since - one of the issues against him is his approach to women and minorities. So there is something terrifying about a person today being sent back into a time where things were…
That's actually a good point, considering that's EXACTLY what saved the day in Blink.
Clarified to make it more opinion-y.
This roundtable actually made me realize why I personally found Blink lacking - no one actually confronts the Angels.
But you still could run from them. That's what killed me in Blink. Like, I thought once you caught eye contact with the angels, you were fucked. But then, in that very episode, the boyfriend character turned and ran from them like they weren't infinitely fast, which just made them into generic monsters.
Midnight > Blink.
Yeah, there were some really weird narrative AND artistic choices going on in this episode. Among those you listed:
Easter Yeggs, for sure. In a pinch, anything with the severely underrated Three Bears.
Oh, man, I totally watched the entire run of Loonatics Unleashed for a review, and it is mind-blowingly insane. Like, they made "modern" Pepe Le Pew a human because… ????
It's funny, cause CN actually airs Looney Tunes cartoons at, like, 6AM on weekdays, but the weekends are repeats of their signature shows and the DC Nation (which, really, is one and a half cartoons and a bunch of their DC shorts).
Pronoun trouble.
Chuck Jones could not do "wacky" or "fast-pased" gags, which he admitted as much when he talked about his pretty awful Tom and Jerry cartoons. You can actually see the struggles when he did the animation segment in the deliciously trashy film "Stay Tuned".
They had Toon Disney about ten years ago before it became the young-boy demo'd "Disney XD".
They're actually doing that again now! They're called Disney Remixes or something. Shocked the crap out of me when I saw it about two weeks ago.
