The fact that Space Invaders isn't in the top 20 is really bothersome, mainly because that historical perspective wasn't accounted for at ALL. The game that made niche arcade gaming into mainstream? Fuck that shit.

Yeah. This REALLY bothers me, to the point that I'm kinda offended. I like Todd a lot but to not even bother reading the top-liked comments? In that case why bother have a comment board? This is privilege at it's most egregious.

This is my main complaint (not with Girls, but with Girls supporters). I blogged about it on my, er, blog (link in my desc) but basically, it seems that this whole showrunner focus emerges from auteur theory, which is an suitable but extremely flawed way of thinking about criticism (personally, I hate it that it

This is kinda a reach, considering we shit on TV shows all the time that people work on, implicitly hoping they'll lose their jobs.

All of this. Talk about moving the goalposts - since this is exactly what the Girls supporters are doing, too.

Disagree. Both shows are groundbreaking. Regular Show is probably the first cartoon to depict, with any sense of realism, the life-struggles of the working twenty-something in a dead-end, inexplicable world. It's rare to see a animated show with adult-esque characters; most people are teens or kids or adults that are

THIS. Congo is the best "terrible" movie I've ever seen. I love how every single plot-point is so predictable that I'm surprised the movie didn't come with a laugh-track.
