There's only one problem with the Green Lantern being gay - it's that the New 52 reboot sucks.

Hmm. Depends on how you define dark. Lots of cartoons have done parodies of the "Madness! Madness!" scene on Bridge over the River Kwai, usually substituting some child-like object instead of bullets (balls, food, cakes, etc.) Rocko's Modern Life did a full on The Shining parody when Hefer becomes a security guard.

See, the thing is that cartoons are FILLED with parodies, homages, and references. MLP referenced The Big Lebowski and parodied the ending to Star Wars, and the I Love Lucy scene with the conveyer belt. Penguins of Madagascar did the Planets of the Apes ending, replacing the beach with a world of snow cones. Heck, Sam

Holy shit, was talking about this show last night. I watched some of it right after - it's actually not bad. It's surprisingly self-aware.

I'm sorry to here.

The Noozles was a real thing, I think from Korea. It was fucking weird. I mean, it began as a show about a girl and her cute alien Koalas, but became a whole fucking thing, kinda what shows from Asia tend to do, with dimensions and Crystals and the destruction OF ALL THINGS.

I know for a FACT that beat was used in a Sonic game. I don't know which one since they all blur together but I fucking KNOW it.

I think rap had 3 golden ages - the birth (late 80s), the zenith (mid 90s), and the rise of Southern/Midwest rap (early 00s). Outkast was always around but that's when they became huge, with Ludacris, Nappy Roots, the beginnings of Kanye, Eminem, Nelly, TI, and… so many others.

If anything, this feature will bring back so many memories of co-opting rap in hilariously awful gimmicks and commercials. Remember the "bus safety" rap song?
